Martinez, who is a staff agent at Ben Whitehead State Farm Insurance in Pataskala, entered a recipe she called Sweet and Sassy Chili Pork Chops.
The recipe features bone-in chops and a marinade consisting of Coke, Dr. Pepper or root beer, garlic, sweet chili sauce, brown sugar and some form of citrus juice. She added Bush's Bourbon and Brown Sugar Grillin' Beans as a side dish. Bush's Beans sponsored the contest.
Martinez never expected to win, but when she visited the website after the contest closed May 26 she received a jolt: Her recipe, in addition to a handful of others, had won.
"I ran outside to tell my husband (when he was returning from work), and he thought I was playing a joke," said Martinez, laughing at the memory.
The Pioneer Woman ended up flying Martinez and her husband, Steven, to Oklahoma, where they stayed at Drummond's ranch outside of Pawhuska.
The pair spent June 10-12 at the ranch, and on one of the days, Martinez prepared her recipe in the kitchen next to Drummond as video cameras rolled.
In the video, which can be found on both The Pioneer Woman site and Bush's site, Martinez tells Drummond how she usually follows other people's recipes. She prepared the Sweet and Sassy Chili Pork Chops recipe on her own specifically for the contest.
Drummond, for her part, struggles to pronounce the name of Martinez's hometown, Pataskala, in the clip. She lets Martinez handle the pronunciation.
Martinez said she enjoyed appearing on the show and cooking next to Drummond, who has parlayed her blog into a career as a successful cookbook writer. Drummond also is scheduled to debut a cooking show later this summer on the Food Network.
Still, Martinez does not want to follow in Drummond's footsteps. She said she enjoys cooking to "see the joy on people's faces," but she has been slightly embarrassed by all the attention she has received.
"I'm a shy type of person, so all this attention is killing me," said Martinez, adding all her family, friends and coworkers have watched the episode and commented on it.

It’s annoying (unless you forgot your sunglasses and grab a few promotional pairs), so it was truly impressive when a young man was standing quietly on the street corner handing out black envelopes that had a Confidential sticker on them. The card inside was an eye puzzle that revealed a website for something that might be really cool. I’m a sucker for the Starz! Spartacus series which is gearing up for a new season sans Andy Whitfield who unfortunately had to withdraw while battling a recurrence of cancer. That sadness aside, the Spartacus set-up gave you the opportunity to pose with a sufficiently buff guy in Roman attire and a smoking hot lady in a toga, all while holding gladiator training equipment and wearing helmets. That’s cool enough, but the backdrop was a two story ludus (gladiator training score) complete with cardboard character cut-outs on the second floor and animal hides on the ground level. Sure, it may be a hyperviolent, hypersexual, hyper300ripoff, but it’s hypercool to me. -RF

For more than 60 years the BRüCKNER company group is known as producer of Jacquard warp knitted curtain very modern textile finishing machines. The founder Kurt Brückner invested already in the first years very much in development and research which paid off already several times. In 2002 the former wet finishing sector of the Brückner group became the independent company Erbatech GmbH. The company developed further into today's market leader for wet finishing of sensitive knitted fabric.
